Georgia has wrapped up its 2026 recruiting class with three-star small forward Mading Kuany. The 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward out of Iowa United Prep in Norwalk, Iowa, picked Mike White’s Bulldogs over Saint Mary’s and UNLV, and he ranks as the No. 74 small forward in the country.
Kuany’s path to Athens runs through several stops. An Australian native who came to the U.S. for his senior season, he has played for Australia’s FIBA youth teams and at the Center of Excellence, and he spent time with the NBA Global Academy. That last connection gives him a familiar face in Athens: fellow Global Academy alum David Ugonna Ike is also part of Georgia’s class.
He fits a clear profile. Kuany is long and athletic with real physical tools and upside, though he’s still on the thin side. His length and athleticism point to a player who could add defensive versatility once he fills out.
Kuany rounds out a busy offseason for White. On the high school side, Georgia signed Kuany alongside fellow three-stars Donovan Williams and Hakeem Weems, plus Ugonna Ike. The Bulldogs also leaned on the transfer portal, landing a new starting center in James Scott from Ole Miss, three-point specialist Brady Dunlap from Saint Louis, and guard Freddie Dilione, who led Penn State in scoring last season at 14.0 points per game. The class as a whole ranks No. 50 nationally.
